PAN IIT 2025

Mach Fly Aerospace (formerly SAP Aerospace) unveiled its multi-barrel launched loitering munition system in Bombay. The Rudra, designed for high-altitude operations, offers extended range capabilities and carries additional payloads.

ASME Turbo Expo 2024

Two of our groundbreaking works were presented at the ASME  Turbo Expo 2024 in London, UK, by our team members Amit Rajput and Vivek Sahu. Their work highlighted the ongoing development on lean burn combustion technology for both gaseous and liquid fuels.

J&K Youth Conclave

SAP Aerospace was awarded at the J&K Youth Conclave 2024 for inspiring youths with their propulsion technology for UCAVs. The award was presented by the honorable lieutenant governor of J & K Shri Manoj Sinha.

Lean burn combustor Firing

The team successfully hot-fired its lean-burn fuel injector. The main and pilot fuel schemes were successfully demonstrated in the run.

IINVENTIVE 2024

Team SAP Aerospace showcased their invention at IInvenTiv 2024. Co-founders Ayush Divyansh and Preetam Jamod showcased their technology to the Honorable Education Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, accompanied by the Board of Governors, including Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, Director IIT Hyderabad, B.S. Murthy, and Director IITM Prof. Kamakoti Veezhinathan, along with other notable industrialists who visited our stall.

Cumbustor Hot Firing

We have 3D-printed the entire combustor assembly with MJP Technology. The realization proved that complex engine parts can be fabricated and tested.

Test Rig Assembly

SAP Aerospace successfully developed its first combustion demonstration rig. The setup consists of a 75 KW power panel, 300 CFM air compressor connected to an atmospheric combustor test rig with provisions to test both liquid and gaseous fuels.

ASME- GT INDIA -2023

Four team members of SAP Aerospace presented their works at the prestigious ASME-GT India-2023 conference held in Bangalore, India in December 2023. Their respective works were deeply appreciated by the gas turbine community during the conference.

Meeting with Director

We had an all-hands meeting with our director, Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur, to review our progress. The team discussed developing the infrastructure for engine development with the support of IIT Jammu and the need for a deep tech ecosystem focusing on indigenous technology development related to the defense sector.

APJ Abdul Kalam lecture series

The team meets Dr. Suresh Naik, former group director of ISRO, and Kashinath Deodhar, former scientist at DRDO, to discuss the progress at IIT Jammu.

Two 40-foot customized lab containers arrive at IIT Jammu from IIT Madaras. An MOU was signed between NCCRD, IIT Madras, and IIT Jammu to develop the test facilities. Our team members worked at NCCRD for one year to develop the facilities.

FITT, IIT Delhi visit SAP Aerospace

FITT, IIT Delhi visits SAP Aerospace at IIT Jammu. Mr. Abhishek and other team members from FITT also visited the lab under development. FITT was our incubation partner during the Boeing BUILD 2.0 competition and they provided invaluable support throughout our journey.

Technology validation at NCCRD, IIT Madras

A team of 10 members successfully tested the gas turbine engine components. Comprehensive laser-diagnostic experiments were conducted to validate the numerical investigations.

Boeing BUILD 2.0

The team was one of seven national winners out of 829 teams in Boeing Build 2.0. The team received a 10 lakh cash prize and a 6-month mentorship from FITT, IIT Delhi, and Boeing.

Extensive numerical simulations

We performed extensive CFD simulations to optimize the hardware. CFD simulations are supported by HPC Agastya and IIT Jammu, capable of 7 teraflops of operations per second.
